Huobi ECO Chain is also known as HECO for short. It’s an EVM compatible chain officially researched, designed, built and launched by the Huobi exchange in December 2020. HECO is launched based on the Proof of Authority (PoA) consensus mechanism and it is considered to be a customized version of PoS. With HECO, developers can use familiar development tools while maintaining the same dev experience as working with Ethereum.

What makes Huobi so special?
- HECO allows for fast, almost instant transactions, with a transaction cost that is extremely low. At less than $0.1, it’s something to consider when comparing Ethereum, which can cost a few dollars per transaction.
- HECO is an EVM compatible chain. Its compatibility allows developers, who have worked on Ethereum before, to start building with HECO in the same way. Devs can benefit from the helpful tools and applications.
- Many users using HECO and similar Exchange chains haven’t used Ethereum or DeFi yet. Therefore, using Huobi has a significant advantage in that it can provide a much larger user base. Given that Huobi’s ecosystem was developed much earlier, it is very easy for Huobi to gain traction for HECO.
- In addition, quality projects that are on HECO are also supported financially by the HECO Ecosystem Fund, which is worth more than $200M.
What users can do after this integration?
